Research the area around a property
Radius demographic reports
Enter a U.S. address and choose a 1, 3, 5 or 10-mile radius to estimate the population, income, age, households and housing around a site.
Basic report sections are public. Create a free account for full report access. Export workflows are available with Premium.
Generate your report
- Enter the property’s street address, city, state and ZIP Code.
- Choose the radius that fits your initial market question.
- Generate the report and select the matching address if more than one result is returned.
Use the report to screen the surrounding market, then compare it with a city or county and investigate local competition and site conditions.
What the report covers
Review population and age, household counts and income, and housing characteristics such as ownership and rental tenure. These measures describe the surrounding residents and housing, providing context for commercial real estate screening.
Premium supports separate in-app saved and custom market, export and travel-time workflows. Public radius generation is available here without a Premium subscription.
How estimates work
Radius reports use 2024 American Community Survey five-year estimates for block groups, allocated through 2020 Census block points. This estimates the portion of nearby block-group data inside your selected circle; named geography reports instead use published Census values for their boundaries.
The result is an estimate, not an exact count of today’s residents. The ACS summarizes a five-year period, and the 2020 allocation points may not reflect subsequent development. A straight-line radius also differs from a driving-time area or an actual customer trade area. Review each report’s source, methodology and quality notes, including any unavailable measures, before using it in a decision.
